This program features hands-on
exploratory science activities focusing on the themes of patterns,
systems, and connections. Students will be given the opportunity
to develop science process skills through a variety of scientific
investigations. The staff consists of experienced classroom
teachers from local schools who are experts in science education.
They will mentor the elementary Master of Arts in Teaching students
at Colorado College in planning lessons and instructing small
groups of children. The pupil-to-teacher ratio is intentionally
kept low, encouraging individual exploration and small group
interaction.
The 2009 program will focus
on the inventions and discoveries of famous scientists. For
more information please contact the Faculty Director, Mike
Taber.
