Director of Elementary Education

cmendoza@ColoradoCollege.edu

In reflection about my years at Colorado College, I relate especially to the poem that states: “…I have a past that is rich in memories.  I have a present that is challenging, adventurous, and fun because I am allowed to spend my days with the future” (I am a Teacher by Schlatter).  In my capacities as teacher, scholar, mentor, and administrator, I work with “the future” represented by the adults and children who are engaged in education in its broadest sense.  It is my professional and personal goal to contribute substantively to a more thoughtful, purposeful, and positive experience for all of the “audiences” with which I interact. I am grateful for the opportunity to do so.
