The Crew
Name: Becky Poore
Year: 2008
Major: Biology
Hometown: somewhere near Washington D.C.
Favorite Drink: Chocolate Milk

She became our youngest sibling,
I hope she didn't care;
Her maps are full of detail;
I've never heard her swear.

We started treating Becky like our kid-sister. The youngest member of the team, she brought the attention to detail that can only come from a science nerd. We think that with a few changes, she could become the headiest hippy at CC.

Name: Seth Byrnes
Year: 2006
Major: Anthropology
Hometown: Portland, OR
Favorite Sport: Rugby

Seth has worked CRM archaeology jobs in Utah, and is a member of the archaeologists cabal at Colorado College. He currently resides in Portland, OR.

Name: Tucker Robinson
Year: 2006
Major: Anthropology
Real Reason He Likes Archaeology: Indiana Jones
Hometown: Rochester, NY

Boating on rivers was his chosen career,
But now it is digging in dirt he holds dear;
He can talk about Chaco for hours and hours,
The same holds true for Pueblo III towers.

Tucker has been into archaeology for quite a while. His area of focus has been Pueblo III in the north San Juan Basin. He is especially interested in tower intervisibility and violence in the PIII period.

Name: Katie Baer
Year: 2006
Major: Anthropology
Favorite Band: Matson Jones

Hometown: Shreveport, LA

Katie lived on the same street I grew up on in Shreveport, which is kind of funny. Katie could tell Mancos from McElmo without much trouble, so she became our resident ceramics expert. Her thesis work seeks to tie together Mesa Verde pottery styles and Pueblo III architecture.

Name: Ruth Van Dyke
(Ph.D University of Arizona 1998)

Name: Kellam Throgmorton

Paraprofessional
Hometown: wherever his car is parked
Favorite Car: 1986 Nissan Stanza "the Stanz"

Name: Chelsea Kuiper
Year: 2007
Major: Anthropology
Favorite Pastime: working too much (just kidding. Although she does make the rest of us look bad)

Hometown: Arcata, CA

Now it's her turn in one of my poems,
Instead of a sentence she writes epic tomes.

All the same, the quality is mighty high, and some of her final paper will likely be included in the site report (less work for me, yea!). Chelsea is pretty much the only junior archaeology major, but when you got Chelsea, who needs anybody else?

Name: Trevor Farmen
Year: 2006
Major: Anthropology
Power Animal: El Chupacabra

Hometown: Somewhere in Connecticut
