Loaded suburban at 7am. Brand new, 1965 miles. Personal gear, instruments in Ruth's Toyota, group gear in suburban. Departed at 8am. With me: Tucker, Katie, Chelsea, Trevor, Seth. W/ Ruth: Rebecca [Becky]. Stopped in Walsenburg, bad coffee. Stopped in ?Del Norte (past Monte Vista) Ruth needed gas. Suburban about half a tank (made it to Cortez no refuel!) Stopped at 2nd Subway in Pagosa Springs. Department paid for lunch. We were hungry, because we had to wait for 30 mins to come over Wolf Creek pass-construction. Arrived Crow Canyon at 4:30, set up tents, (put gear in cabins). Dinner at 5:30-pork green chile burritos, corn and beans. Rain coming into Cortez, some lightning. Everybody relaxing this evening.
