 Coffee House. An evening of poetry and spoken word at the Glass House, 1001 N. Nevada Avenue, on February 26 at 7:00 p.m. Free and open to the public.

 
 

 "The Meeting" A short play based on a fictional meeting between Dr. King and Malcolm X. It takes us to the root of the civil rights movement as the men have a very spirited debate about important issues. The dialogue between the actors is derived from a series of speeches made by the two leaders. February 27 at 5:00 p.m., Shove Chapel, Colorado College. Free and open to the public.

 
 

 Step Show. You've never seen competition like this before! Join the Black Student Union of the Colorado College as we celebrate historically black fraternities and sororities at our annual step show. March 12 at 7:00 p.m. El Pomar Gymnasium, Colorado College. Cost is $5.00, free with CC I.D.

 
 

 Race Matters. A symposium to examine the ongoing effects of race in modern day American Society. The conference will include a gospel extravaganza. Speakers: Richard Delgado, Michael Trujillo, Jennifer Holliday, Nick Kolz. "Smashing the Ceiling" concert and presentation by Magdalen Hsu-Li. March 30 through April 17 at Colorado College.
