Our commitment to our community
One of the college’s institutional goals is to promote involvement
in and responsibility to one’s community. Our students learn citizenship
from faculty who are committed members of their neighborhoods, and 84 percent
of the student population take part in some sort of community service. College
administrators actively listen and seek out neighbors for input in community-minded
issues. The college’s cultural, intellectual, and sports programs all add
to the varied fabric of the region. Expert faculty members serve as invaluable
resources for community groups, public offices, and the news media.
Colorado College is a member of the Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce,
the Greater Colorado Springs Economic Development Corporation, the Rocky Mountain
Indian Chamber of Commerce, Colorado Springs Black Chamber of Commerce, and the
Colorado Springs Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. |
