Jesse Horn, president of the newly auspicated class of "No Bad Days", gave the senior address.
The 2007 commencement speaker was the photojournalist David Burnett '68. Burnett has been photographing the world for more than 35 years, working in 60 countries and covering presidential campaigns and Olympic games for the past three decades. In 1976 he co-founded Contact Press Images in New York, and for the the last three decades he has traveled extensively, working for most of the major photographic and general interest magazines in the U.S. and Europe. Among his awards are the Magazine Photographer of the Year from the Pictures of the Year Competition, the World Press Photo of the Year and the Robert Capa Award from the Overseas Press Club.
Others who received honorary degrees were Dr. Angelyn Konugres Coupounas '46; Jerome P. McHugh Sr., trustee of the college and parent of Jerry, Jr. '80 and June '84; and Cleasther Marchman.
