Field Trip: Downtown Colorado Springs Landscape

Description:

Walking tour of downtown Colorado Springs. We will leave from the Colorado College campus immediately after the final paper sessions on Friday and proceed to the central business district of Colorado Springs. You will see and hear an interpretation of the downtown landscape that reflects its historical development and functional use zones. We will also discuss contemporary planning issues, recent landscape changes, and projections for the future. We will end with beer, food, and merriment at some establishment downtown. Be prepared to walk. Price: Free (you pay for your own beer and merriment). Limited to as many as can congregate around me easily.
