Service-Learning Colorado Springs is proud to support the Institute on Urban Service Learning hosted by Front Range Earth Force and the Southwest Regional Exchange. The Institute will emphasize the use of research based best practices for service-learning that can be applied at any grade level, how to use authentic reflection, how to reach a diverse student population and foster youth leadership through youth councils. During the institute participants will also experience a field trip based on local water issues.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn dynamic classroom tools and teaching strategies that bridge content standards, community involvement, environmental awareness, civic education and hands-on experiential learning. The summer institute will create a solid foundation of service learning with an emphasis on urban and water issues.
