The Partnership for Civic Engagement integrates public work into academic scholarship to promote the common good and cultivate social responsibility in our student body. By forging strategic, long-term partnerships between the college and its local, national, and international communities, we develop large-scale collaborative projects that provide students with a continuum of opportunities, facilitating leadership development and preparing students to be active citizens.

The Institute on Urban Service Learning (June 3-5 2009)
The Institute will emphasize the use of research-based best practices for service learning that can be applied at any grade level, including how to use authentic reflection, how to reach a diverse student population, and foster youth leadership through councils.
