What Kinds of Trips Can I Go On?
Hiking/Backpacking
Whether you want to go out for an afternoon of hiking near campus, or participate in a five-day block break trip in Utah, the ORC has done it all. Colorado Springs is in the vicinity of many great hiking spots within an hour of campus. Tarry All Peak, Eleven Mile Canyon, the Bar Trail and Incline up Pikes Peak are fantastic afternoon trips. Backpacking trips typically go out over weekends or block breaks. Such trips include summiting Pikes Peak and other Fourteeners in Colorado, canyoneering in Utah, meandering through the deserts of the Southwest and all throughout the Rocky Mountains.
Its easy to get involved!!!
The ORC is open to all students, regardless of previous outdoor experience. The ORC meets the first three Tuesdays of every block at 12:15 in the WES Room. All are welcome!
