Banner Paper and Markers
Free to students, faculty, and staff to promote C.C. sponsored events. Markers can be borrowed from the Worner Center Desk with a valid C.C. I.D. The paper is located on the second floor of the Worner Center.

Sidewalk Chalk
Free to students, faculty, and staff with a valid C.C. I.D. Located at the Worner Center Desk. (Chalking is only allowed on uncovered outdoor walkways.)

Table Tents
C.C. sponsored events and information sessions can use table tents for publicity. Table tents can be placed in Rastall, the Herb 'n' Farm, and Benjamin’s for up to one week at a time. Contact the Sodexo Unit Manager at x6576 to reserve the tables. The date, time, location, and sponsor must be written on all publicity. Contact information is encouraged. The organization is responsible for placing and removing all table tents.

Copies
Copies of flyers can be made at the Worner Desk, Tutt Library, Residential Life office, Armstrong Basement, and the Copy Center located in the Central Services building located at 815 North Tejon Street.

Electronic Sign Board
Free to students, faculty, and staff with a valid C.C. I.D. The electronic signboard located in the Worner Center is best utilized for brief announcements about your event.

Student Digests
Student organization members should ask their advisors if they will send e-mails to the digests for the organization. Campus Activities is available for assistance to any student or student organization. Student Digest requests must be submitted electronically if Campus Activities’ assistance is required. Contact the Campus Activities office at x6800 for e-mail addresses.

Bulk Mailing
Address labels are available, and can be ordered by calling x6448. All material must be in numerical order for mailing services to process. Please give at least two days notice to mailing services. (Off campus entities must obtain administrative approval from the Dean’s office to send on campus bulk mailings.)

Tables in Worner
You can reserve tables in the Worner Center lobby by calling the Worner Center Desk at x6607. This is a free service to the C.C. community.

The Catalyst
The college newspaper has the following forms of publicity:
· An article written by a reporter or by a writer of your choice (no charge)
· An announcement, found on the back page of the paper (no charge)
· An advertisement-contact the Catalyst Office, x6675 for rates.

One-Fell Swoop Information Sheet
This sheet is a service of the Office of College Relations and Worner Center Desk for Colorado College sponsored events. When you return the completed form to the Worner Center desk and meet the appropriate deadlines, a copy will be sent to College Relations and your event may be publicized in any or all of the following:

The Monthly Calendar of Events
The College Relations Office publishes this monthly calendar of events open to the general public during the school year and distributes it to the CC and Colorado Springs community.
DEADLINE: Items must be submitted by the 7th day of the month preceding the month in which the event occurs, i.e., deadline on May events is April 7th.

KRCC Radio Station
KRCC-FM is available to promote your campus events through the radio station, which broadcasts throughout southern Colorado. To utilize this avenue of publicity, the event must be open to the general public.
DEADLINE: Five to six weeks before the event

Off-Campus Publicity
Please contact Jane Turnis, media relations supervisor in College Relations, with any questions or requests for off-campus publicity at x6138, i.e., media coverage, web calendars and press releases.

Lawn Signs
Wooden stakes with signs are permitted on the C.C. Campus, but they cannot go further than 6 inches into the ground. Individuals are responsible for both placing and removing the lawn signs. The stakes and signs must be removed no later than 48 hours after the event.

Policies and Procedures

General
· Please use masking tape to post publicity-duct tape cannot be used to post any publicity materials
· Chalking is allowed ONLY on uncovered outdoor sidewalks.
· Posters, banners, and flyers may not be hung on walls, windows, bricks, poles, trees, sidewalks, official C.C. signage, cars, or painted surfaces.
· The date, time, location, and sponsor must be written on all publicity. Contact information is encouraged.
· Campus publicity for functions may not include references, either verbal, written, pictorial, or otherwise, to the availability of alcohol. Failure to observe this policy may result in cancellation of the event or other disciplinary action.
· All publicity for an event must be removed within 48 hours after the event.
· Soliciting of any kind is prohibited on campus.

Worner Center
(All general policies and procedures apply)
· Bulletin spaces are provided in the Worner Center, but all materials must be approved and date stamped by the Worner Center Desk. Only three flyers per event will be approved for the Worner Center.
· Some bulletin spaces have been assigned to specific groups or departments in the Worner Center. Those groups or departments are responsible for posting their own materials. However, these spaces will be monitored daily by Worner Center Staff for the removal of other group’s materials.
· The date, time, location, and sponsor must be written on all publicity. Contact information is encouraged.
· Banners may be posted on the center railings of Worner Campus Center, but must meet the following criteria:

-Horizontal banners are not to exceed 6 feet by 3 feet.
-Vertical banners are not to exceed 3 feet by 6 feet.
-Banners may be posted no more than 10 days prior to the event.
-Materials for making and hanging banners are available at the Worner Desk. Banners may only be made in the designated area on the second floor of the Worner Center.
-Banners may only be attached from the top of the railings with masking tape.
-Banners posted anywhere in Worner Center other than the central railings will be removed.
-Banners cannot be posted on ledges.
