The Dance Workshop Committee produces two major dance productions each year and welcomes all students interested in any genre of dance. The possibility of creating original and innovative choreography is just one exciting aspect of being involved in Dance Workshop. Last semester's diverse dance pieces included the genres of modern, jazz, ballet, lyrical jazz, hula, salsa, hip hop, and ethnic dance.
The spring Dance Workshop production, Trite Absurdities, took place on March 25, 26, and 27 at 8pm in Armstrong Theatre. The show included works of modern, jazz, hip-hop, ballet, and ballroom dance styles!
The fall show promises to provide an incredibly eclectic mix of styles, with an amazing array of performers and choreographers. Mark your calendars now for the show on the 11th, 12th, and 13th of November in Cossitt. Tickets will be available soon in Worner Center.
