Giving, Getting, and Giving Back at CC
The college’s annual scholarship appreciation event has grown each year since its inception in 2002. This year, donor and student response was so great — approximately 220 people attended — that the college moved the March 1 event off campus. The theme for this year’s Scholarship Appreciation Dinner was “Giving, Getting, and Giving Back.”
Student speakers Robin Dunn ’06 and Ari Stiller-Shulman ’06 talked about the impact that scholarships had on their lives in and out of the classroom. In response to the generosity they received, Dunn and Stiller-Shulman established the first-ever student-driven scholarship, the AppreCCiate Scholarship (see above).
