for New Scholarship
A new scholarship challenges current Colorado College students to consider the value of their education and to show their appreciation by donating money to help others attend CC.
The AppreCCiate Scholarship, founded by Ari Stiller-Shulman ’06 and Robin Dunn ’06, raises awareness among current students about economic diversity at CC and about the disparity between people of different economic backgrounds in attending institutions of higher education.
Student-run events like Jazzfest, Winter Ball, Bagels and Brewfest, and a student Thanksgiving dinner help raise funds for the scholarship, which has brought in 732 donations (for a total of nearly $4,000) in its nine months of existence. A senior prank at Commencement (see back cover) added more to the fund.
