The new 29,000-square-foot Adam F. Press Fitness Center has opened! Named after Adam F. Press, a 1984 Colorado College graduate who committed $3.5 million toward the project, the facility offers state-of-the-art equipment – and sweeping views of Pikes Peak and the surrounding mountains. Adam F. Press Fitness Center

"When I first visited the new fitness center I was amazed … and then angry that I only have two more months to take advantage of it."

The facilities are stunning. All of the exercise machines face west, looking out through a wall of windows at a panorama of Pikes Peak. Upstairs you can find treadmills, ellipticals, AMTs, stationary bikes, rowing machines, and summit trainers and stair climbers. Each of the 50-plus cardio machines has a built-in screen where you can watch TV or use the Internet. Downstairs, you can find the 4,500-square-foot strength and training room, which also looks out over the mountains and the turf field. We have Olympic lifting racks, dumbbells, and 12 other strength-training machines. The fitness center also offers the Louis multi-purpose room for group exercise and yoga, squash courts, and the 27-foot-high Ritt Kellogg climbing gym, featuring 3,500 square feet of climbing surface, 24 rope stations, bouldering caves, and natural cracks. It's incredible.
