The Richard F. Celeste Theater

Edith Kinney Gaylord Cornerstone Arts Center

"I never know what to expect when I walk into the Main Space of Cornerstone. It's one of the quirkier spots on campus, where there is a constant rotation of installation and performance art pieces on display."

Cornerstone is LEED-certified, and was completed in 2008 with the mission to create a space that allows for innovative, experimental, and collaborative projects. Cornerstone is home to CC's Theatre and Dance, and Film and New Media Studies departments, and offers state-of-the art facilities like computer labs programmed with video and photo editing software. For students interested in drama, Cornerstone has a 450-seat theater, a black box theatre, and a wood shop for set design and construction.

I.D.E.A. Space (InterDisciplinary Experimental Arts) provides a venue for innovative collaboration, visual art exhibitions , and performances.  Engaging a variety of disciplines, philosophies, and media, I.D.E.A.’s programs support a culture of learning and exploration at Colorado College.
