Colorado Springs Food Rescue is a student-run organization that strives to eliminate food waste and redistribute it to those in need. Students help collect extra food from grocery stores, restaurants and community farms and then, once collected, CSFR relies on a crew of volunteers to fill up bicycle trailers and pedal across town to places that have agreed to receive and use the food. Recipients range from homeless shelters to senior care centers to youth attention homes.
If you like to bike and want to help reshape the food waste system in Colorado Springs give us a shout! They'd love to hear from you.
