Associate Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, Mexico City, Mexico

International Political Economy Major, Spanish Minor

“As an associate consultant with The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), I do a number of things. I work with companies in different industries on a vast array of projects. I have worked on organizational restructuring projects and developed growth plans within Mexico's informal market across industries ranging from energy drinks to department stores to baby formula. It has been a rush.”

Key milestones?

“I funded research and travel in Central America towards my Senior Capstone piece with a Van Skilling Grant from the Economics Department. I was very satisfied with CC's participation in SLAC (Selective Liberal Arts Consortium) during my senior year. Although I didn't ultimately accept any of the positions, I was offered a job from two prominent New York based law firms, the Department of Justice Antitrust Division, and the Federal Trade Commission.”

Future aspirations?

“I hope to continue with my education by pursuing an MBA. I then plan to work in an internationally focused position dedicated to economic development.”

Block Plan benefits?

The intensity of the Block Plan has been particularly valuable for me as a consultant. I get placed on very short projects where we are required to digest a large amount of knowledge about a client and an industry that we generally know little about. I certainly feel a connection to my CC roots at those times.”
