Novice League Regulations

1) No one under the age of 25 will be allowed to play.

2) Required equipment includes:

a helmet with full face shield (or cage), shin guards, elbow pads, gloves, stick, skates, breezers (hockey pants) and shoulder pads are recommended, but not required

3) The Novice League is geared toward those who are inexperienced or novice players, NOT those with more experience. If you do not qualify as inexperienced or novice, you should NOT apply to be a part of this league. If you do apply and are found to be too experienced, you will be asked to move up to the Intermediate League.

The Intermediate League is meant for players that are not advanced enough to play at a high level but too skilled for the Novice League.

4) While playing, please be sure to keep your shifts on the ice limited to one to two minutes only. Your teammates have all paid as much as you did to play and would like to have the same opportunities to play that you do. Obviously, if you have only a few players on the bench, this regulation can be relaxed.

5) Teams are to play all players an equal amount of time during a game. The league is made up of individuals of varying levels of skill. The teams are to avoid "stacking" the ice with players of a higher skill level to take advantage of lesser skilled players on the ice of the opposing team

6) No checking and no slap shots allowed in the Novice League.  Slap shots are allowed in the Intermediate and Over 40 Leagues.  Checking is not allowed in any of the leagues.

7) No foul language or unsportsman-like behavior will be tolerated.

8) Most important, we want EVERYONE to be safe and have a good time.
