- Evan Weissman ('01), Brian Colonna ('00), Samantha Schmitz ('00), Matt Petraglia ('99), Hannah Duggan ('98), Erin Rollman ('98), and ('97) comprise the critically acclaimed, Denver-based theater group known as “Buntport.” Buntport Theater has been created and is produced and acted entirely by CC alums. The ensemble puts on original productions known for their quirky and innovative nature, including a popular bi-monthly live sitcom, “Magnets on the Fridge.”
- Hillary Wolf ('00) appeared in the Olympic games for the second time in Sydney, where she competed in the 52-kilogram judo competition and was defeated by Kye Sun Hui of North Korea, the defending gold medalist. Previously, she competed in the 1996 Olympics, the 1995 and 1997 World Championships, and claimed her third national title in 1999. She was the youngest US National Champion at 14, winning the 99- pound division. Ms. Wolf also appeared in the films Home Alone and Home Alone II.
- Katie Sieben ('99) was elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in November 2002 at age 25. She is the youngest member currently serving in the Legislature.
- Tara Nott ('94) won a gold medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympic games in the 106-pound division in Weightlifting. Ms. Nott played women's soccer at Colorado College.
- Jill Peters ('92) serves as Legislative Assistant to Senator John McCain. Ms. Peters advises Senator McCain on such issues as public land, the environment, agriculture, energy, and Native American concerns. She also serves as his representative to the 21 Indian tribes in Arizona.
- Alison Dunlap ('91) competed in the women's mountain bike race in the 2000 Sydney Olympics and finished seventh. Ms. Dunlap also competed in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta as a member of the road biking team.
- Mary Cheney ('91) is the daughter of U.S. Vice-President, Dick Cheney, and she was one of the first employees of the Colorado Rockies baseball team, where she worked in promotions. She also served as public relations manager for the Coors Brewing Company. Ms. Cheney recently wrote a book, published in 2006, entitled Now It's My Turn: A Daughter's Chronicle of Political Life.
- Diana DeGette ('79) is a member of Congress representing Colorado's 1st congressional district.
- Neal Baer ('78) has served as the executive producer and writer for the hit TV shows “ER” and “Law & Order SVU.” He was the 2005 Colorado College Commencement speaker.
- Ken Salazar ('77) was elected to the US Senate as Colorado Senator (Democrat) in 2004. Mr. Salazar is the first Colorado College alum to serve in the role of senator.
- Peggy Fleming ('70) is renowned in her role as figure skater and won a gold medal at the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City, as well as other titles. Ms. Fleming spent 20 years as an air analyst for ABC Sports.
- Laurel McLeod ('69) has contributed much to CC over the past 30 years and has served the college in numerous capacities. She worked as a lecturer in French, a lecturer in cinema studies, and as the assistant dean of Summer Programs. In 1977 she was named dean of women at CC and incidentally, was the last to hold this title. She later became the vice president for student life and held that position until the spring of 2005, when she transitioned into semi-retirement while continuing to work as a special assistant to the President.
- Lynne Cheney ('63) is the wife of the U.S. Vice-President, Dick Cheney, and served as chairman for the National Endowment for the Humanities from 1986 to 1993.
- Glenna Goodacre ('61) is an artist who designed the new millennium Sacagawea Golden Dollar, as well as the Vietnam Women's Memorial.
- James Heckman ('65) was awarded the 2000 Nobel Prize in Economics Sciences for his work in microeconomics.
