We are delighted to again offer you an opportunity to travel with
us to Incredible !ndia. You will experience the magic of India on
this two-week educational adventure.
We plan to visit some unforgettable places, beginning with the Lutyens-designed
capital New Delhi and to Agra and the Taj Mahal. Arts and architecture
will be only one feature as we explore the extraordinary and erotic
temple carvings in Khajuraho. From there we will visit the holy city
of Varanasi where the Ganges serves as the most powerful force in
Hinduism. From Varanasi we will venture into the countryside to visit
the town of Mirzapur which for many centuries has been the heart of
Indian hand-knotted carpets. We will learn the carpet business (and
see the process first hand) from one of the largest exporters in India,
Edward Oakley of Obeetee, who will host us on his compound. From there,
we will explore the forgotten city of Orchha and the majesty of the
forts at Gwalior.
We will end our journey in Delhi which is a shoppers dream. For those
of you who have time, we encourage you to travel beyond the boundaries
of our trip and explore more of India. We would be happy to help you
coordinate such trips.
India leaves no person untouched. We know this educational adventure
will provide experiences and memories that you will cherish for a
lifetime.
