Visit Our Campus » Multicultural Open House « Admission Home
November 5-7, 2009
As a community, we seek to learn from the diverse experiences and perspectives of all students. If you share our values, we invite you to apply for our Multicultural Open House program. In particular, we encourage members of American Ethnic Minority groups, students who are the first in their families to attend college and students from low income families to apply.
The program is designed to give you and your parents an inside look at student life at Colorado College. Over the course of the weekend, you will have a chance to:
- Take a campus tour and visit a class
- Stay overnight on campus with a CC student host
- Participate in an admission interview and financial aid workshop
- Experience a variety of academic, cultural, and extra-curricular events
- Attend a CC hockey game
Travel Grant
The best way to get to know the Colorado College community is by visiting our campus. Since 8 out of 10 CC students are from outside the state of Colorado, we know that paying for travel expenses to visit campus can be financially challenging. This open house experience provides a travel grant to help you see the Colorado College community first hand. Those who are unable to attend the multicultural open house, but still wish to visit campus in the fall, may still submit an application. We will review your request for a travel grant outside of the Multicultural Open House weekend on a case by case basis.
Application to Attend
Due to limited space and funding, applications must be submitted online and supplemental materials mailed and postmarked no later than October 5th. If we approve your request, Colorado College will pay your transportation expenses (airfare or mileage or gas) up to $500. If you travel with one or both of your parents, we offer an additional subsidy, of up to $500, for their transportation expenses and provide complimentary accommodations at a nearby hotel.
