Summer Break { August 2 - August 23 }

When to Visit

We welcome visitors year round and offer visitor events on weekdays and Saturdays in the fall. The best time to visit is when classes are in session, and there are plenty of students around to give you a true feel for the college. The Block Plan creates a schedule totally different from most schools, and the "block breaks" that occur after each block might not be the best time to visit.

General Visit Guidelines

We strongly encourage every prospective student – especially every admitted student – to visit our campus. While we do our best to accommodate drop-in visitors for information sessions and tours, if you let us know you’re coming we can better assure you an opportunity to see and participate in all the options you're interested in. We need advance notice of one week for class visits, and two weeks for an overnight stay.

Information Sessions and Campus Tours

Information sessions and campus tours are available for all interested students almost every weekday year round, and on Saturdays in the fall.

Interviews

Interviews are available June-January for high school seniors and June-March for transfer students. Limited off-campus interviews are also available. See the CC Coming to You page for options.

Class Visits and Overnights

Class visits are available for high school seniors and transfer students, and during much of the year, high school juniors may also visit a class. Class visits are not available the first day of a block or in the last half week of a block. Class visits require a week advance notice. 

Overnights are also available for high school seniors and transfer students on a limited basis (usually Sunday-Thursday nights), but not on the first day of a block or in the last half week of a block. Two weeks advance notice is required.

The academic calendar lists blocks and block breaks so you can plan a good time to visit. Please review the event and interview tool to check availability prior to booking any travel arrangements. We also offer two special Fall Open House events for high school seniors.
