Congratulations on
your admission
to
Colorado College!
We are delighted to welcome you into our community and to invite you to our campus. One of the best ways to make your college decision is to visit. Therefore, we are pleased to offer a variety of activities and a hosted stay to allow you to experience CC life and community. Colorado College is a unique place. We hope that you will take this opportunity to fully investigate what we offer.
Students are encouraged to stay overnight
on campus with a current student on Thursday
night. Since overnight visits will not be possible
on Friday night, please refer to the listing of
hotels found on our Web site if you plan to stay
longer. CC Open House includes an opportunity
to experience a class on the Block Plan. Due to
class size limitations, we ask you to choose a
general area of study rather than a specific
department, and we will do our best to put you
in your first-choice class. Keep in mind that you
will have a chance to speak to departmental
representatives at the departmental fair. If you
cannot make that fair, you can always stop by
a specific department and speak with someone
during your free time.
If you would like a one-on-one session with a
faculty member, administrator, or financial aid
counselor, please make an appointment directly.
Please call or e-mail for an appointment at least
one week in advance.
We hope that you choose to visit CC, and that you have an enjoyable and informative stay.

Open House Frequently Asked Questions
Can I bring my parents?
Sure! We even have several events planned
specifically for parents. A list of hotels can be
found here. When making
reservations, please ask for the Colorado College
rate, as some hotels offer discounts for CC visitors.
How do I
register for
the weekend?
We have an online registration form for this event.
Please note that we may not be able to provide you an overnight stay if you register after April 25. If you register after the deadline, we will
try to accommodate you, but you should make a
hotel reservation just in case.
What do I do when I arrive?
Please check in at the registration desk in Cutler Hall between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Thursday.
We will give you a packet with all the information
you need for your time on campus. Host matching
for overnights will take place at 4:30 p.m. If you arrive after the meeting time, the Worner Desk
should have your information packet for you. If you
are arriving on Friday, the registration desk will be
open between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. If you arrive after
this time, please come to the admission office in
Cutler Hall.
What should
I bring?
Please bring
a sleeping bag,
pillow, and towel.
You will likely
be sleeping on
the floor, as
most students
do not have extra
beds. The CC Open
House is informal, so be sure to pack comfortable
clothes and comfortable shoes. Colorado weather
in April is extremely variable, so be prepared for
anything from 70 degrees and sunny to snow. All
meals and events are free; however, if you want to
buy CC souvenirs, shop downtown, or order snacks,
remember to bring some extra spending money.
What if I can’t make it to the program?
We hope you are able to visit another time.
We can schedule an information session, tour,
class visit, and perhaps an overnight stay (make
reservations two weeks in advance). CC students
will be taking finals and will be on block
break the week of April 13, so please try
to avoid this time, as we will be unable to
provide hosts or class visits. Please call (719)
389-6344 or (800) 542-7214 for more information
or to make a reservation for an alternate visit time.
What if I can’t visit at all?
If you have questions, feel free to call and ask
for an admission officer or visit our Web site. Most professors
have contact information available on our Web site.
Students are also available to answer questions;
just call (800) 542-7214 and let us know if you
would like to speak to someone.
