New Course in Turkey
RE 200 Living Islam: The Turkish Experience
Summer 2013 -- In Turkey
May 23 - June 14
This is an experience-based immersion in Islam, Turkish style, where the classroom is not simply in Turkey, it is Turkey. Over the span of two intensive weeks, students will travel in Istanbul and to select locations in historic Anatolia where they will discover not only the history of Islam in a specific Muslim-majority country but also the many ways in which past and present combine to produce a contemporary Islam for roughly 70 million people. There are no pre-requisites for this course and no language requirement.
Consent of Instructor is required.
Sheffer Fund invites applications from students and faculty for support of research and travel related to Roman Catholic Studies.
