Pre-engineering Requirements

The following are the general pre-engineering requirements of the 3-2 and 4-2 programs; however, it is important to check the webpages of the individual schools, and of the engineering program you are interested in. Some of the departments have additional requirements.

    MA 126, 129, 204: Calculus 1, 2, and 3
    PC 241-2: Classical Physics 1 and 2
    CH 107: General Chemistry 1
    CP 122
    EC 150 or 152
    A writing course*


* For students whose regular graduation year is spring 2014, the completion of the Writing Proficiency Portfolio with an evaluation of Excellent or Competent satisfies this requirement. In the meantime, students are encouraged to take a Writing Intensive (WI) or Writing in a Discipline (WD) class to satisfy this requirement.
