Diana Anderson

DIANA ANDERSON holds a BME from Augustana College and an MAT from Colorado College. Her piano studies have been with Dr. Antonia Brico; she has completed recent studies at Eastman School of Music and Indiana University, and has studied with private teachers from Tallinn, Estonia, and Kiev, Ukraine.  From 1984 to the present, she has been a piano instructor and a Lecturer in Music at Colorado College. Ms. Anderson teaches Music Education for the Elementary Grades. She also served as Assistant Organist at Grace Episcopal Church and for 23 years was Director of children’s music education at Grace Episcopal Church and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Day School.  In the past, she has served as Director of the Air Force Academy Cadet Folk Choir and has played for services in the Cadet Chapel.  Other highlights have included performances with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (with Pablo Casals attending) for the performance of his “Mass for Peace”, and membership in the Clarinet Trio, Chicago Symphony. Ms. Anderson has also appeared as a soloist and accompanist for the Pueblo Symphony, Rocky Mountain Ballet, Taylor Choir for the Verdi Requiem, Colorado Springs Chorale for The Damnation of Faust and Montage.  She has been a Lyric Opera accompanist and continues to be a Metropolitan Opera auditions accompanist, and also has served on the Colorado Opera Festival Board.
