Wordle for Graduate School in Education

Our Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Program is 14 months of full-time enrollment and starts in June of every year, leading to both a master’s degree and teacher licensure. You proceed through this professional course of study with a cohort of approximately 20 students, providing you with an opportunity to work closely with other students and to build a culture of support and collaboration.

CC’s MAT program is offered in elementary education, K-12 art, music, and foreign languages (French, German, Latin or Spanish) and secondary education in English/language arts, math, science, and social studies. You will find advising checklists for each content area under Program Requirements.

A unique aspect of our MAT program includes an internship over the course of the second semester, which can include remaining in the same school to complete the entire year, or an international placement to teach abroad, or a specialized interest placement to explore an area of interest in which you'd like a deeper experience.

As with other classes at Colorado College, the MAT program is offered on CC's unique Block Plan

We are happy to announce that with the 2013-14 academic year, Colorado College is participating in the Yellow Ribbon Program. If you expect to receive V.A. Education Benefits, please visit CC's Veteran's Benefits page.
