Department Programs
The Economics and Business Department has numerous groups that majors or prospective majors are able to join. These include the Student Advisory Board, which plans activities including alumni networking events and research symposiums, the Investment club, which meets on a weekly basis to build a portfolio using real money, and the Entrepreneurship club, which brings speakers in to talk about how to be a successful entrepreneur.
The department also gives out several awards, including the Van Skilling Award to help fund independent research, and several thesis awards, given to those students who write an exemplary thesis.
