Jan Schalk

Projects Manager Jan Schalk

Jan serves the Art Department in a supportive role and is currently working with Terry Freeman, the Visual Resources Curator, to update and expand the digital images database for the Art Department.  She is also the department’s web page author and provides support for various other projects the faculty, staff and students are involved with.

Jan has a B.A. in History from the University of Colorado with a work background in library and museum services. Among other things in her past life she has worked in the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum as an assistant archivist, as a non-profit grant-writer, and as a personal publications specialist.

Jan is a long time resident of the Pikes Peak Region and delights in the special beauty of Colorado’s mountains.  She loves hiking, watching the abundant wildlife in her back yard, and gardening.  Other interests center around creative projects, especially those involving woodwork, beading, and gourmet cooking.  Family time, however, is her favorite interest.
