This course introduces major periods in intellectual history as seen through the lens of theatre and dance in Western culture. It traces this through its evolution as ritual performance, dramatic literature, ballet, modern dance, and popular entertainment. Along the way, it also examines performances that take place in contemporary culture, such as pageants, marriages, parades, and festivals.
Prerequisite: FYE Course. 1st Years Only.
