The Basics...

The Intramural Department provides three leagues in which students may participate in Ice Hockey: 3 vs. 3, Beginner, and Intermediate. The 3 vs. 3 League will run during block 3 and the Beginner and Intermediate Leagues will run concurrently during blocks 4 & 5. League play is standard round robin format that extends until the post-season, single-elimination tournament at the end of each leagues respective seasons. Equipment is available from the office at Honnen Ice Rink upon presentation of a valid CC ID.

Icing, high sticking, hand passing and offsides are all prohibited, in addition to the typical varieties of roughing, cross-checking, elbowing, etc... For safety purposes, slapshots are not permitted in any of the leagues.

At the end of league play, the top teams in each league will advance to a single-elimination tournament to determine the league champions. Each member of the championship team will receive an IM Champion t-shirt.

Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated. The following behaviors will result in a warning and the possibility of a game ejection and subsequent expulsion: cursing at the officials, supervisors, or opposing players; insulting the officials, supervisors, or opposing players. Participating in a fight and/or intentional/flagrant fouls will result in an automatic ejection. Participants ejected from a game are prohibited in playing in their next TWO scheduled games.
