EN 283 1310 or EN 283 4610 Classroom assignment: Armstrong 259B This course will introduce students to the fundamentals of the craft of fiction writing. This course will cover beginnings, dialogue, gesture, character formation, the function of place, and plot sequencing in the assembling of short fiction. Readings of current and classic writers will complement written assignments. The class will function primarily as a workshop. Prerequisites: None.
