GS 180 4610 Classroom assignment: Palmer 118 The attack of September 11, 2001 in New York City and the launching of war against non-state terrorism has brought the issue of war and peace directly into the lives of students. The course explores psychological answers to the question "Why War?" and examines the geo-political factors that causes wars. Emphasis is also given to the roles of supranational institutions, international law, and nonviolent means to obtain peace. Prerequisites: None. Enrollment is limited to 25 students.
