Language and Cultural Studies in Senegal: Francophone African Literature and Culture (in Senegal)
Blocks A-B: June 8 - July 17
2 CC units (8 semester hours). Fulfills the Critical Perspectives: Diverse Cultures and Critques requirement at Colorado College. One unit of humanities credit.

This course will be taught in French. It will investigate and discuss links between writing and contemporary socio-political issues as characterized in the local literature and media. Students in this course will complete an Independent project, which will be assessed by the instructor and the program director.

Program fee (in addition to tuition): $3,900 includes lodging, most meals, course related activities, and transportation in Senegal. Does not include airfare. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required upon enollment in this course.
Prerequisites: FR 305 or equivalent, and Consent of Instructor (email iwade@coloradocollege.edu)
