Intermediate or Advanced Italian (in Italy)
May 21 - July 8
2 CC units (8 semester hours). Two units of humanities credit.

Intermediate and advanced Italian courses will include a review of fundamentals of Italian grammar and a daily study of additional grammatical patterns. Coursework will include written and oral composition in the context of Italian culture experienced by students in the course. Lectures and discussions will focus on Italian art, music, and cultural history.
The first two weeks of both the intermediate and the advanced Italian courses will be spent in Villetta Barrea, overlooking a lake in the mountains of the Abruzzo National Park. The remaining weeks will be spent in Sorento on the Amalfi coast. Both language courses will include field trips to such lacales as Venice, Rome, Spoleto, Florence, Assisi, Rimini, and the Tremiti Islands.

Program fee (in addition to tuition): $4,700 includes roundtrip airfare from a major US city to Rome, lodging, all meals, course-related activities, and transportation in Italy. A non-refundable $500 deposit is due upon enrolling for this course. Colorado College students may apply for Intercultural Funds.
