Non-degree seeking graduate students and teachers
All courses, both undergraduate or graduate courses in the Summer Session at Colorado College, are open to non-degree seeking teachers and post baccalaureate students who are interested in continuing their education. Many teachers use both our summer undergraduate or graduate courses for salary increases at their schools, a new subject endorsement, or simply for personal intellectual renew. Click here to view our 2008 list of graduate courses. For undergraduate courses by block or by departement, see our blue navigation bar on the left. Tuition and Teacher Scholarships Tuition costs for Summer Session at Colorado College compare very favorably with other colleges and universities locally and nationally. Tuition for all Summer Session courses at Colorado College is approximately half the cost of tuition during the regular school year. In addition, as part of the college's commitment to education on all levels, practicing teachers with a valid contract can receive a teacher tuition scholarship which reduces our tuition costs by 50% . (See below). To be eligible for the reduced rate, practicing teachers must present the assistant dean of the Summer Session with a principal or head of school signature verifying proof of employment for the following academic year. This rate applies to any course a teacher chooses to take from the summer session curriculum, undergraduate or graduate, except for any independent study course.
No Interest Loan for Teachers In addition to reduced tuition rates, any teacher who has valid teaching contracts for the coming school year may apply for our no-interest, eight-month loan which provides for payment of tuition in installments over the school year, from October to May. A principal or head of school signature is required for the "No Interest Loan." This signature is considered sufficient as proof of a contract for the following year.
