Tuition
The cost of earning the Experienced Teacher M.A.T. degree from Colorado College compares very favorably with similar programs at other colleges and universities locally and nationally. Tuition for all Summer Session courses at Colorado College is approximately half the cost of tuition during the regular school year. In addition, as part of the College’s commitment to education on all levels, practicing teachers with contracts may receive a further reduced rate, or 50% off the regular summer tuition. To be eligible for the teacher scholarship, practicing teachers must present the Assistant Dean of the Summer Session with a proof of teaching contract for the next academic year by early June of the participating summer.
With the exception of a $50 one-time M.A.T. Program application fee, and the cost of books and supplies, almost all costs of the Experienced Teacher M.A.T. program are included in the tuition figure. No additional charges are assessed for student activities, computer accounts, laboratory fees, etc. Some courses, particularly those with overnight field trips and/or foreign travel, require payment of program fee in addition to tuition. No- Interest Loan For Experienced Teacher Candidates
Colorado College offers teachers enrolled in the Experienced Teacher and Integrated Natural Sciences M.A.T. programs, who have a valid teaching contract for the coming school year, a no-interest, eight-month loan which provides for payment of tuition in installments over the school year, from October to May. (Note: candidates enrolled in any Fifth-Year MAT program are not eligible for this loan program.) Teachers who would like to apply for this loan should complete and sign the loan application and promissory note available from the Summer Programs office, or by downloading a PDF of the form by clicking here.
