Developing the next generation of non-profit leaders
• Offering nonprofit organizations access to qualified, versatile, and committed young newcomers to the sector
• Providing Colorado College students with meaningful work experience in nonprofit organizations
• Drawing on experienced alumni to pre-qualify candidates and provide training and mentorship
The goal of The Public Interest Fellowship Program (PIFP) is to provide highly qualified, committed, and energetic Fellows who can help build the capacity of nonprofit organizations by providing key support quickly and effectively. The Fellows are products of Colorado College’s unique Block Plan, which teaches students to research and analyze subjects intensively, while working in teams with faculty and students to provide answers on very short deadlines.

Fellows are supported by experienced alumni who help match Fellows with the project-specific needs of the host organizations, and who mentor them through their fellowships.
