B1 - The Many Uses of FTS

Patron Loads

  1. Acquire the patron file
  2. Log on to Anzio or other Telnet program and access the INNOPAC Catalog
  3. Type A (ADDITIONAL system functions)
  4. Type M (Read/write MARC records)
  5. Type P (Load MARC PATRON records from tape or IFTS)
  6. Type F (Load MARC records into Innopac using FTS)
  7. When asked for a file name, press Enter
  8. Type the number corresponding to the IP address of your Innopac system
  9. Enter the login and password
  10. Navigate to the appropriate directory
  11. Type V (VIEW files)
  12. Type the number corresponding to the patron file
  13. The word "GET" will appear next to the file name
  14. Type T (TRANSFER files)
  15. The extension .pfts is added to the end of you file -- if you rename the file, make sure to keep this extension!
  16. Type C (CONTINUE)
  17. Type Q (QUIT)
  18. Press Space when prompted
  19. Type P (PREPROCESS records loaded via FTS)
  20. Type the number corresponding to the patron file
  21. Press Space when prompted
  22. Type C (CONVERT a MARCIVE file)
  23. The file extension is now .pat
  24. Type the number corresponding to the patron file
  25. Type T (TESTING mode)
  26. Type L (LOAD records)
