Application Guidelines and Tips
- Start early.
- When writing application essays, think carefully about how the program you have selected fits into your overall academic program. Why is this program the best option for you? What will you gain by participating? Be as specific as possible about your academic goals.
- Incomplete applications will not be accepted. If you are missing your advisor's signature, your application will be considered incomplete. Don't wait until the last minute to see your advisor!
- Obtaining transcripts and letters of recommendation will take time. The Registrar's Office requires 7-10 days to process transcripts, and professors should be given at least two weeks to write letters of recommendation.
- Many study abroad program applications require a signature from our office. Because we process so many forms, especially during busy times, keep in mind that it may take up to a week for us to complete your form.
- Have the Writing Center review your application essays.
