Miriam Toews: Governor-General award-winning Canadian novelist whose books include The Flying Troutmans, A Boy of Good Breeding and A Complicated Kindness. Wednesday October 7th at 7 PM in the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center Auditorium. Co-sponsored by the D. J. Maclean Endowed Fund for English and the Consulate General of Canada.

Christian Bök: Bestselling Canadian poet whose books include Crystallography and Eunoia. Thursday October 15th at 7 PM in Gates Common Room of Palmer Hall. Co-sponsored with the ACSUS Fund for the Arts.

Kay Ryan: Beloved Poet-Laureate of the United States, author of  Say Uncle, Elephant Rocks, The Niagara River and other books. Tuesday November 3rd at 7 PM in the Cornerstone Theatre. Sponsored by the Demarest Lloyd Lecture Fund.

Bonnie Nadzam: CC’s Daehler Fellow in Fiction, whose work has appeared in such magazines as The Kenyon Review, Ninth Letter, Callaloo and Iron Horse Review.  Thursday November 12th at 7 PM in McHugh Commons.

David Quammen: Award-winning naturalist and author of many books, including Wild Thoughts from Wild Places, The Reluctant Mr. Darwin and Natural Acts. The Harold D and Rhoda N Roberts Memorial Lecture. Tuesday December 1st at 7 PM in the Gates Common Room of Palmer Hall.

Father and Daughter Together: Poets Conrad and Jane Hilberry read from their work.  His books include After Music and Sorting the Smoke. She’s the winner of the Colorado Book Award for Body Painting. Thursday December 10th at 7 PM in Gates Common Room of Palmer Hall.

Playwright Roundtable: Three esteemed Pulitzer/Tony award-winning playwrights David Henry Hwang, Suzan Lori Parks and Tony Kushner gather for an onstage presentation and interview. Wednesday, February 3rd at 7 PM in the Cornerstone Theatre. Sponsored by the NEH Professorship.

Daniel Mendelsohn: Renowned author of The Elusive Embrace and The Lost: A Search for the Six Million, winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award. Major translator of C. P. Cavafy’s Collected Poems and The Unfinished Poems. Co-Sponsored with the Maytag Fund. Monday February 8th at 7 PM in Gates Common Room of Palmer Hall.

Mark Irwin: Brilliant poet whose books include Tall If, Bright Hunger, White City and  Always. Thursday February 18th at 7 PM in Gates Common Room of Palmer Hall.

Jim Moore and Company: Beloved poet Jim Moore, author of Lightning at Dinner and other books, will perform with CC students. Thursday March 4th at 7 PM in Bemis Hall Auditorium. Sponsored by the Virginia Darnes Yates Endowment. Reception to follow.

Samuel Green: Washington State Poet Laureate, author of The Grace of Necessity and Vertebrae. Sponsored by the Press at Colorado College. Thursday March 25th at 7 PM in Gates Common Room of Palmer Hall.

Dan Chaon: Eminent novelist and National Book Award-finalist, author of Among the Missing, You Remind Me of Me, and Await Your Reply. Tuesday April 6th, 2010 at 7 PM in Gates Common Room of Palmer Hall.
