FIELD TRIPS
back to programs

In addition to the New York field trip for senior majors, the Department sponsors a number of other off-campus field studies. These would include opportunities in conjunction with a course, such as a studio class going off campus to draw or photograph the landscape, or an Asian art history class visiting the Asian Collection of the Nelson-Atkins Museum in Kansas City. Field trips open to all declared are majors are also organized. These trips allow students, faculty and staff to see noteworthy exhibitions and cultural environments. By example, last year a group spent several days in Santa Fe, meeting with artists, visiting museums, and viewing Site Santa Fe. Off campus locations frequently used by the Art Department include the College Cabin and Baca Campus. These facilities are detailed on the College’s web site.
