Floor mosaics continue through the sixth century, become integrated into a concept of the church as microcosm.

The floor mosaics of the Great Palace are enigmatic. Unprecedented in their quality,
there is not much to compare them with in establishing a date.
Recently dated to the sixth century through archaeological evidence.
