Welcome to Pre-Kindergarten at Colorado College

We prefer an environmentally based emergent curriculum. Carefully organizing our dramatic play environment to serve as the focus for each lesson plan. This teaching strategy is the Creative Curriculum approach.

The Creative Curriculum teaching style is concrete, practical, it supports children’s social, cognitive and academic development and meets the profession’s standards for quality.

The goal of our curriculum is to help your child become an independent, self-confident, inquisitive learner. When the environment is well planned and rich with a variety of materials and choices it allows children to learn at their own pace through active exploration. Thus fostering growth and development; Socially, Emotionally, Cognitively, and Physically. Always remembering play enables us to achieve the goals of our curriculum.
