has written a novel, “How I Paid for College: A Novel of Sex, Theft, Friendship, and Musical Theater,” which is due out in September. The film rights have already been optioned by Columbia Pictures. Sean is the vice president of technology at Watterson-Prime Software, Inc., in Bellevue, Wash. • Carolyn McCarthy is in Puerto Montt, Chile, for a year on a Fulbright Fellowship. She is writing a book about life in the rural south emerging from isolation. • Jennifer Schreck and Jason Kabat were married June 28, 2003, in Denver. Jennifer is an attorney for the Public Employees Retirement Association of Colorado. • Jack Sedwick lives in Gainesville, Fla., where he is chief in the division of plastic surgery at the University of Florida. • Karen Badonie Sopko started a cardiology fellowship in July at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center in Albuquerque. • Lisa Hardin Van Bramer and husband, Erik ’91, are both on the board of directors of the Rocky Mountain Research & Prevention Institute in Aurora, Colo. The institute introduced legislation to create a “Colorado Kids 1st” special-interest license plate to fund the promotion of health and prevention of injury to children.

The other three months are spent in Wollongong, Australia, where he is working on a Ph.D. involving physical activity, young people, and culture. • Elizabeth Ayres works for the Del Norte County Library in Crescent City, Calif. • Kristi Franklin reports that she is putting her law degree to good use in working for the poor, as the planned giving manager for the Sacred Heart League in Wall, Miss. • Heather McDowell is a special education teacher in the South Bronx.
