







More than 2,000 alumni and parents returned to campus to celebrate Homecoming and Parents Weekend, October 7-9, 2006. One of the highlights was the Benezet, Worner, Riley Awards Ceremony where German Professor and Soccer Coach Horst Richardson and wife, Helen, and retired Assistant Bookstore Manager Gini Londry received the Riley award for outstanding service to the college by a staff member. Alumni Rich Brotherton ’81, musician and record producer, and Sharon Young ’60, owner and CEO of a metallurgical consulting service, were given the Benezet award for outstanding achievement in their chosen fields. Trustee Emeritus Bill Ward ’64 was presented with the Worner award for outstanding loyalty to the college. Other highlights were the 18th annual 5K Race in Monument Valley Park, Freedom and Authority lecture, Tiger Walk Parade of Classes with the CC Balinese Gamelan, the bonfire, and a Homecoming memorial celebration. The office of alumni and parent relations coordinated about 100 events in four days.
