In 1970, Colorado College began a unique program when it adopted the Colorado College Plan — a system that incorporates not only a redesigned academic calendar, but also a stronger focus on the co-curricular program and the residential experience.

The academic calendar — the Block Plan — divides the academic year into eight three-and-a-half week segments or blocks in which students take and professors teach only one course at a time. As Colorado College prepares to celebrate the 35th anniversary of this special plan, the following stories give some insight into daily life on the Block Plan and its particular advantages. You can find more information at: www.ColoradoCollege.edu/35.
