(Projects begin at 10 a.m. Please arrive early for coffee & bagels & to get situated!). We plan to work until around 1 p.m. then will serve yummy sandwiches on homemade bread.
What Vida Verde is
Vida Verde is a nonprofit that promotes educational equity by providing free, overnight, environmental learning experiences for students who don’t otherwise get the opportunity. Vida Verde was founded by two CC grads in 2001, and has four CC alumni on staff this school year! www.Vveducation.org
What folks will do
Come on out to this secluded coastal retreat center and spend a couple hours working on some projects to improve the program while catching up and connecting with fellow CC alumni. Different tasks to choose from, light to heavy duty! After, take a walk in the redwoods, soak in the hot tub, commune with the goats, etc!
What to bring
Wear your country clothes & good shoes.

Specific event location
- Directions to Venture Retreat Center, 201 Eden West Rd, Pescadero, CA (just over 1 hour from San Francisco).
- Travel west on HWY 92 to Hwy 1 in Half Moon Bay.
- L onto HWY 1 and go south 15.5 miles to Pescadero Rd. (about 3 miles after Pomponio State Beach).
- L onto Pescadero Rd. and go 2 miles to the town of Pescadero.
- Continue on Pescadero Rd. past the town another 1/2 mile to Cloverdale Rd.
- R onto Cloverdale Rd and go 3.1 miles to Eden West Rd. (it's a small road just before Canyon
Rd.).
- L onto Eden West and go 1/4 mile to the entrance of Venture Retreat Center.
